Learn to analyze the grammar of the Qur’ān.

This course will help students gain applied skills in Arabic grammar to begin unlocking the meanings of the Qur’ān.

It will begin with the study of primers in Arabic syntax (naḥw) and morphology (ṣarf): al-Ajurrumiyyah and Taṣrīf al-ʿIzzi. Then students will study the short sūrahs in the Qurʾān with a focus on basic tafsīr, grammatical analysis (iʿrāb), and translation exercises.

By the end of the course, students should have a strong foundation in Arabic grammar to advance to higher studies and begin accessing the meanings of the Qur’ān with high accuracy.
